Breast Enhancement
This operation is done to enhance or enlarge the breast. It remains one of the most popular cosmetic surgery operations. Many materials have been used to enlarge the breast. There are two types of patient who need this operation. First, those who have never developed breast tissue and second, those who had breast tissue before pregnancy and lost it after they had children.
This operation does not tighten the breast or raise the nipple, it is to make the breast larger. The principal is to create a pocket under the breast tissue and place an implant into that pocket. The operation is done under either local anesthetic (you are awake) or general anesthetic (you are asleep). Most of the time this is an outpatient operation and a stay in the hospital is not needed.

Breast ptosis (drooping breasts) can result from a loosening of the skin and suspensory ligaments. Gravity and weight of breasts take their toll over time. Ptosis can also come from a reduction in the volume of breast tissue. This can occur after pregnancy and weight loss.During pregnancy the breasts enlarge as the body prepares to produce milk for the child. After pregnancy the glands return to their pre-pregnancy condition. The skin and loose ligaments cannot always return to their normal proportions.
Depending on the degree of drooping breasts (ptosis) different operations can be used to return the skin to more natural proportions. The surgeries are based on redraping the skin after removing the excess something like tailoring clothing. The problem is that clothing comes with seams, and the skin does not. We try to create seams (scars) where they can be most hidden.
