The building that gives home to the hotel itself, was built at the turn of the 19th century and has long functioned as an up-scale residential apartment block. The hotel occupies the top three floors; the rest of the building accommodates businesses and residents. A separate panorama-elevator was built exclusively for the use by the hotel guests..
